Every couple of weeks or so, I make a trip to the local health food store to buy supplements. As I walk by the juice supplement section, I can't help but notice the extensive selection of juice drinks.
I looked for juice blends that specifically contained the Acai berry and found a few. Some brands had a combination of the Acai berry along with a variety of vitamins and minerals. Each blend seemed pretty good but they were all different. I have tried many different kinds of juices, from Gogi to Noni. Although they were good for me, all of them tasted horrible in my opinion. The amazing thing was that these bottles of juice cost anywhere from $29-65.
That was just for the Acai blend alone. In some cases, I have heard of bottles of juice going for $100.00. That seemed a bit crazy. I must admit though, if the juice really worked, it would be worth it.
Our society spends millions of dollars on pharmaceuticals every year and all of them have some kind of undesirable side effect. In some cases they are necessary; What if many of our health issues could be controlled by the juice though? It is happening! Again, the testimony is overwhelming. That is why they call the juice a Nutraceutical-All the benefits of the juice without the side effects.
I was convinced more than ever that a bottle containing 19 different potent fruits from all over the world ( some not easily attainable in the USA) was a better choice than those offering just a single juice. I even tried an Acai blend from the local grocery store. The taste wasn't bad but something told me the "made from concentrate " label along with the high sugar content was in fact good not good for me. It all made sense but that was only half the story.
I thought about this; Do any of us really consume 5-7 servings of fruits a day consistently, as recommended by the FDA? I know I didn't. As I educated myself on the importance of antioxidants and it's impact on our overall health and well being, I learned how important it was. I began to wonder: Do the fruits we eat consume contain any harmful pesticides? I know I have always heard about the importance of washing your fruit but what about fruit that absorbs
these pesticides? What about the soil that these fruit come from. We buy organic fruit and still don't really know what we are getting. How do we know what happened to the fruit before it reached our mouth unless the fruit was home grown or bought at a farmers market? All good questions. I think what we don't know will hurt us.
The bottom line is that 5-7 servings of fruit a day is hard enough to consume. Also factor in how much it costs to buy this fruit . Are we getting the full nutritional value of these fruits? No one knows for sure. As well, what are the best fruits to buy? Some fruits don't have as high of an ORAC value as others.
This blend contains 19 fruits ( including gogi )from all around the world including the most powerful antioxidant and super food, the Acai berry in it's purest form. Mona Vie's patented freeze dry process helps to retain all of the berry's nutritional properties or ORAC value. Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity (ORAC) is a scalar value useful for comparing the antioxidant content of different foods or nutritional supplements. You know what you are getting here. Plus Mona Vie contains glucosamine and Esterfied acids for your joints. Each fruit was specially picked for it's high ORAC value and combined into one formula, offering 15 servings of fruits a day based on the recommended serving.
This blend contains other ingredients such as fiber, fats, protein, omega 6-9 essential fatty acids, minerals and trace minerals, 11-13% solids, phytonutrients, and a number of vitamins. No juice can claim that. Most juices are pasteurized and processed differently where some or most of the nutrients you expect to get are lost. The freeze dry process and timely processing are the key to maintaining the nutritional value of the juices. What this simply means is that you are getting ALL of the above ingredients along with a quality guarantee, all for $45 ( and, it is much cheaper if you are a distributor)
Glucosamine alone costs between $25-50 a month at the health food store. Most people either don't have the time or the tolerance to take a ton of vitamins nor do they have the time or resources to digest 5-7 fruits a day. Our fast paced lives don't always permit it.
Statistically, there are approximately 110 million baby boomers retiring soon, all looking to feel and look better. They are tired of taking drugs and are smart enough to realize the benefits of good health with supplements. The health and wellness industry will become a trillion dollar industry by 2010. This is significant since the sickness industry has been in the trillions for many years now. We can enjoy the benefits of the juice and take advantage of the business aspects of it as well.
I was skeptical at first, but after my wife and I started drinking the juice, we became true believers in all the benefits this juice has to offer. We feel better, sleep better and have more energy among many other changes we have noticed. That is no joke. That combined with the successful business we have created has changed our lives. That is worth sharing in my book.
